A case story: two conflicting teams merged into “The Best Team Ever”
45 minutes, interactive case presentation
Once I was called in to work with the merging of two teams who were in deep conflict with each other. From the top management in the organisation, they decided that these two teams had to work as one. This had once been tried out some years ago but was a failure.
There were a lot of negative experiences, hurt feelings, and mistrust.
So how to go about this?
In this interactive case presentation, you—as a manager, team coach, team leader etc. - will get inspiration on how to:
- work respectfully with teams who feel hurt, intruded, and not listened to
- set a context to create reasonable conditions to work under for you and for them
- Using a framework for dialogue that changes the entire way of seeing communication in a team
- be creative and set up resource-focused-experiments in-between your sessions
